Tackling Air Pollution in Lucknow

Lucknow struggles with poor air quality under the National Clean Air Program. To address this, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation installed Swati Pure Skies systems at key hotspots to reduce PM2.5 and PM10 levels.

The Deployment

In March-April 2022, 27 Pure Skies units were installed across six locations, covering 30 sq. km. Monitoring was conducted using data from air quality monitors, with Kukrail as a control site for comparison.

The Results

Pure Skies reduced PM2.5 and PM10 levels by 20-40% at most locations

Maximum impact was observed:

- At sites using the latest-generation Pure Skies devices
- During low-humidity periods (<70%).
- In peak pollution months when air quality challenges were most severe.
